Superfast Jellyfish

Will it ever stop raining in Sydney? I'm trying to work on a project at the moment and getting the job done is near impossible with all this downpour - plus its forecast to rain all next week. Boo to that.
So finally another outfit post - a superfast 'running out the door' look, high contrast, blue tones meets army coat. Have to say, I love winter right now, enjoying layering up so so very much.
I guess you've all noticed my new logo on my blog - I decided to go something a little more streamlined and professional (scoff!).
Thanks again all of ya. x

P.S. I know I have my tongue sticking out in that first shot, its a new look I'm trying out - do ya'll think it'll catch on?

An extremely rainy day and a recently installed projector at home means an opportunity to test out some new lighting. I just had the TV playing for this set so the colours and hues were very inconsistent. Feeling a bit dramatic.

Just noticed my last post was my 300th one - they clock up so quickly!
Here's some snaps from a location scouting mission with Rach and Susie (stylestalker blog). Sweet shearling coats on both of them, I need to get me one of these.
We deemed this location unsuitable for our purposes but it's pretty impressive none the less. La Perouse wilderness.

My test with Emily Theyers of Priscillas, what a beauty! Her look reminds me a little of Darryl Hannah.
First time using my new Nikon D700 and its love - can ya'll tell the difference?

I'm incredibly grateful to have been invited backstage to witness Napoleon Perdis create this Elizabeth Taylor inspired look at the Rachel Gilbert show. Little bit of a delayed response to RAFW but I've been so busy, not to mention sick with the flu and without internet connection. Expect a little RAFW 2010 refresher on my blog in the next week or so.

Elizabeth Taylor, such a dramatic beauty. The perfect look for Rachel Gilbert's very glamourous show.

It is truly such a high form of flattery to have someone of such accomplished talent illustrate my own work. Sarah Hankinson illustrated this image of Madelene, please check her site to see more of her beautiful fashion inspired works.

And just in case you forgotten who was publishing this blog here's a brief and slightly uninteresting outfit post. I took this picture just before flying out to LA, mostly just to test out this location - the backyard at my new house and to show you my cute new scarf/hood from my new fave online retailer Storets. I shot a new test with an incredible Priscillas model yesterday with my D700 and you'll be getting a clearer view of my new equipment and locale very soon. Hopefully tomorrow when I have my broadband finally up and running.... sitting in a cafe right now, its taken 15 minutes to load one picture into photobucket...

It's thanks to Tangent Mag that I was able to gather the resources to put together this shoot. Working in my capacity as a photographer with a team was a first and a real buzz, I can't wait to do it again. I have about a million ideas.
Tangent just released their 3rd issue "BOLD" and its clear the magazine is going from strength to strength. You can check this latest issue on the link - I'm all about very cool and totally free inspiration.

I'm still in Los Angeles today but am flying back to Oz tonight. I'm in love with the team at American Apparel, as well as all the clothes - I feel so lucky to be involved with a brand I really believe in. I was also lucky enough to meet the very gorgeous Taghrid. I must admit its pretty weird meeting another blogger you've been following, she's awesome though - I'm really going to miss all the friends I made in LA! I'm going to try and get back again soon, this time arranging a car and plenty of free time to meet some of my favourite LA bloggers.

I purchased an amazing new camera too, a Nikon D700. Time to take things to the next level.

Bye bye LA!
