Christmas Shopping

As Wednesday is the day my boyf and I leave for our cross continental road trip today I had get all the Xmas shopping done in the city today. Needless to say the place was manic. We were shuffling from store to store through the crowds and I felt so uninspired... Ended up buying everyone books (hopefully none of my family read this before Christmas Day!) which is always a safe bet. You really can't go wrong with the gift of a nice story.
My outfit today is pretty a simple dress, boots, scarf combination. The dress is by Elsom, a label by Australian designer Sam Elsom, its a gorgeous layered cotton a-line dress with pockets. I shot his lookbook awhile back and instead of payment I requested contra (clothes) because I loved his range so much. I have this brilliant hooded leather bomber which I'll be sure to feature in upcoming months.

dress, Elsom
boots, H&M
scarf, Primark

Hey lovemore, ive taken these pics with a timer.
Sometimes i do wish i lived in a smaller city, like adelaide or perth... particularly around christmas!

OH and the first shot is overexposed... i dont even know how that happened! it was a happy mistake by my camera.

how much do models generally charge for 3 hours work? i will be shooting a lookbook/catalogue for in the coming months and i have the photographer for three hours. i don't want the model in all of the shots but i have no idea how any of this works! could you share your expertise with me? xx

you look so pretty + breezy for a day of christmas shopping!!!

i still can't believe you take your pictures yourself.
super amazing.

i agree. i always leave my shopping until the end and then i am faced with lines out of the store.

+ where i live ( edmonton) we have the worlds biggest mall!
west edmonton mall.
and it has all the stores, so shopping days end up being like a marathon.

enjoy the rest of your sunny sunday.

x.
